


Pack Meeting Responsibilities
Setup, Seat & Greet
Responsibilities
- Setup Audio System
- Setup Den Display Tables – Many achievements
require boys to display items at Pack meetings. Required or not, boys are also welcome to bring any project
they have worked on the previous month for the den display table - just to
show off a little. Each item
should include a tag with the boys name on it.
- Greet attendees
- Seat Scouts and family members.
- Tigers will sit in first Two Rows on the right
(when seated) side of the church.
Tiger Buddies will sit adjacent to each Tiger Cub.
- Wolves will sit in the next two rows on the
right (when seated). Wolves will
sit with other members of the den and their den leaders.
- Civilian family members of Wolf and Tigers will
behind the fourth row.
- Bears will sit in first two rows on left (when
seated) half of church. Bears will sit with other members of the den and
their den leaders.
- Webelos will sit in the next two rows on the
right (when seated). Webelos will
sit with other members of the den and their den leaders.
- Civilian family members of Bears and Webelos
will sit behind the fourth row.
Flag Ceremony
- Opening Ceremony – refer to the “program helps”
book for ideas
- Presentation of Colors.
- Lead Pledge of Allegiance.
- Retirement of Colors.
- Store flag properly and securely.
Skit or Song
- Selection of song or skit – keep in mind the
monthly theme – can also be another form of presentation such as a puppet
show.
- Rehearse song or skit.
- Entertain fellow scouts and families.
Awards
- Awards will be by rank.
- Webelos first – Tigers last.
- Only those receiving awards will be called to
front.
- Scouts will stay in front in a line facing the
audience until all members of pack in same rank have been recognized.
- Den/Rank Chant, Cheer, Howl, Growl or Scream –
be creative!
Baked Goods/Raffle
- Families from two Dens are scheduled to provide
baked goods for each pack meeting.
- The baked goods can be either store bought or
home-made.
- The Pack Treasurer will sell raffle tickets
before the pack meeting this will also serve as a gathering activity.
- The Denner and Assistant Denner from each den
providing the Baked Goods will assist with the raffle. If the Den does not participate in the
Denner system, then the two raffle assistants from each den will be
randomly selected by the Den Leader.
Two boys from one den will choose the baked good to be raffled and
Two boys will assist with the drawing (one will draw – one will read the
numbers).
Clean-Up
- Scouts always leave it better than they found
it!
